Public Frustrations
A Very Public View
The Manchester Arena Attack. The public frustrations surrounding the Manchester bombing have been deeply tied to perceived failures in justice and security. Survivors and families of victims have expressed outrage over incidents like the recent attack on prison guards by Hashem Abedi, one of the plotters. Many feel this reflects a "catastrophic failure" in protecting the public and prison staff. Additionally, MI5 has faced criticism for missing opportunities to prevent the attack, with families calling the inquiry's conclusions "devastating". These frustrations highlight ongoing concerns about accountability and safety measures.
Laws have been in place for decades to protect the public without any new laws required. What are your thoughts on how these issues should be addressed? - Ours are: Laws don't solve terrorism only mitigations and actions will prevent future attacks!
Growing Concerns - Still No Action
We also share public concerns; that even now in 2025 virtually all venues we visit, such as; clubs, pubs, café bars, hospitals and shopping facilities etc, are still lacking in the very basics making them easy targets for variety of adversary actions.
Even for ongoing issues relating to sex offences, drink spiking, drugs, and other criminal activities clearly shows us criminals are still able operate freely, without challenge.
We can work with you to resolve this!
Doing Nothing - No Longer An Option
We have yet to be convinced that any form of guidance will in fact prevent adversary actions on a venue or even in basic terms deter criminal acts; unless, that guidance it is followed, actioned, enforced, and managed. We can clearly see that criminal activity unless stopped or deterred will continue to present a very real risk to both duty holders and their customers. Doing nothing is no longer an option If venues want to flourish and people be safe. As a duty holder you are liable when foreseeable risk is present and you are not prepared.
