Public Frustrations

A Very Public View

The Manchester Arena Attack, Mrs Figen Murray who leads the progress of a initiative called Martyn's Law and is the mother of Martyn; mentioned in an article that she wrote, that she made an assumption, that venues would have much stricter security measures in place after the events in Manchester. Whilst visiting a local theatre to attend a music concert she realised to her horror that no security seemed to be in place, and felt devastated and let down to put it bluntly. She spent the whole performance racking her brains about what she could do, and shortly afterwards she decided to launch a government petition called Martyn’s Law.

Now she leads the way on an initiative that should frankly be already in place.

Growing Concerns - Still No Action

We also share Mrs Figen and the public concerns; that even now in 2024 virtually all venues we visit, such as; clubs, pubs, café bars, hospitals and shopping facilities etc, are still lacking in the very basics making them easy targets for variety of adversary actions.

Even for ongoing issues relating to sex offences, drink spiking, drugs, and other criminal activities clearly shows us criminals are still able operate freely, without challenge.

We can work with you to resolve this!

Doing Nothing - No Longer An Option

We have yet to be convinced that any form of guidance will in fact prevent adversary actions on a venue or even in basic terms deter criminal acts; unless, that guidance it is followed, actioned, enforced, and managed. We can clearly see that criminal activity unless stopped or deterred will continue to present a very real risk to both duty holders and their customers. Doing nothing is no longer an option If venues want to flourish and people be safe. As a duty holder you are liable when foreseeable risk is present and you are not prepared.
